Readers of Holland Focus magazine may recall the article "The ss ROTTERDAM is coming home" in the November-December 2006 edition, written by Jan de Jonge. We received the following update regarding the expected coming home date.  SS ROTTERDAM - 31 MARCH 2008 (instead of September 2007) The famous steamship ROTTERDAM is finally returning home to the city where it came from: Rotterdam. The former flagship of the Holland America Line, dating back to 1958, is the largest passenger ship ever built in The Netherlands. The various rooms and halls are being restored to their original state, where possible, for use as restaurants, bars and as hotel. She will have a permanent birth on the Katendrecht quay and will be accessible for the public from 31 March 2008 onwards. For more information, visit www.derotterdam.com
