If you had to choose only one documentary festival that is a must attend, IDFA is the one. The International Documentary Festival Amsterdam (IDFA) is the biggest documentary film festival in the world.
Each year, IDFA attracts well over 100,000 people from all over the world and screens close to 300 documentaries!

In addition to the festival, IDFA organizes the Forum, Europe's biggest co-financing market for international documentary productions, as well as Docs for Sales, an international documentary market where buyers, sales agents and distributors can see a selection from the best creative documentaries of the past year. The 21st IDFA will be held 20-30 November in Amsterdam. It is a documentary heaven for professionals and doco lovers everywhere.
