The race is heating up to find THE Dutch nominee for the global New7Wonders of Nature campaign. As you may know, there are ALSO a number of striking natural places in the Netherlands, that are now amongst the 400+ nominees in the global New7Wonders of Nature campaign. These national nominees are, followed by their current ranking: Dwingelderveld National Park (288), Hoge Veluwe National Park (319) and Mount Scenery in the Dutch Antilles (357). Only one will represent the Netherlands after December 31, 2008 - the one with the most votes! It is obvious from the rankings that the Dutch do not yet know about the campaign. Another New7Wonders of Nature nominee, the Wadden Sea, is a perfect example of nature respecting and needing no borders or manmade limits. It is now ranked 211. Millions are already participating, we hope to make sure that the Dutch throughout the country and the world everywhere know about the New7Wonders of Nature campaign so they can support their favourite natural treasures and show the world how proud they are of their beautiful country.SO, CAST YOUR VOTE: http://www.new7wonders.com/nature/en/ As for the Belgians, read the following article: http://nl.vivat.be/reizen/article.asp?pageid=2121
