Impressions of the 6th KLM DOD in Melbourne, Sunday 2 May. Contrary to last year\'s event, which had to be cancelled due to extreme weather conditions, this year goes in the history books as the most sussesful of all.

Het Festijn, a Dutch cultural weekend organised every 2 or 3 years somewhere in New Zealand. This year it was organised by the NZ Netherlands Society (Waikato) Inc. in the Hamilton Gardens on the Labour weekend of 25 & 26 October 2008.

The Orange Ball, the Dutch Secret, organised by the NCCA (Netherland Chamber of Commerce Australia), was held on 17 October 2008 at the Crown Casino, Melbourne. Traditionally this is the night that the Jonas Kreveld award winner is announced. The winner this year is Menno van Ruyven. De 85-jarige Willem Kerkhove uit Macleay Island heeft het ereteken voor Orde en Vrede ontvangen. De onderscheiding werd hem op vrijdag 15 augustus opgespeld door ambassadeur Niek van Zutphen, tijdens de herdenking van de bevrijding van Indonesië bij het Nederlands-Indië Monument op 80 George Street in het centrum van Brisbane.
